This is one of my more personal reflections — a warm, humorous look at aging, purpose, and embracing the unknown. It’s not my formal biography, but it is a true glimpse into how I see this season of life.
Ah, the winter of life! It sounds a bit frosty, doesn’t it?
But fear not, my dear friends — I’m here to shed some light on this enchanting season with a sprinkle of laughter and a dash of optimism. At 84 years young, I’ve come to accept that I’m in the latter chapters of my life’s book. Yet, instead of letting uncertainty cast a shadow, I’ve chosen to embrace the beauty of each day as it unfolds.
As I sit here in the mountains of northern Arizona, surrounded by the serenity of nature and the comforting presence of my two furry companions, I often marvel at the incredible journey that brought me here. Life has offered me blessings, challenges, and unexpected surprises. And I now find myself standing at the edge of the unknown, curious about what comes next.
There is something liberating about reaching this stage of life. The weight of expectations has lifted. The need to follow someone else’s timeline has faded. What remains is room for authenticity — room to indulge in my passions, run my home-based business with gusto, and savor the simple joys that come my way. And let’s not forget the perk of having accumulated a lifetime of stories and wisdom I’m more than happy to share.
So, what does the future hold?
Well, here’s my little secret: I have absolutely no clue!
And you know what? That’s perfectly okay. Life has a way of surprising us, and I am ready to greet whatever comes with a twinkle in my eye and a smile on my face. I intend to navigate the uncharted territory of the future one day at a time, eager to uncover the treasures it holds.
As we journey through life, let’s embrace the winter with open hearts and open minds. Let’s revel in the beauty of the present moment, cherishing the relationships, experiences, and adventures that continue to enrich our lives. And, above all, let’s face the unknown with a bit of humor, because laughter truly is the best companion on this marvelous expedition.
